Title: More stuff from China
Post by: Rx7man on March 22, 2016, 10:27:29 PM
After hearing about the mini toggle switches I bought for cheap from china, my buddy asked me to look for some microswitches he's always replacing in excavator controls.. He said he needed 20.
I looked them up, and said "How about 40 of them.. for under $10.. including shipping".. he said SURE THING.

10pcs Tact Switch 3A 5A 250V Microswitch Round Handle 3pin | eBay  (http://www.ebay.com/itm/10pcs-Tact-Switch-3A-5A-250V-Microswitch-Round-Handle-3PIN-/301833765986?hash=item4646b1c462:g:mB8AAOSw1S9WfQhL)

You see.. the stealership is charging $15 EACH for them.

While I was at it I also ordered a couple bore scopes for Android cell phones.. $5 each, I'll take one, Trent will take one, and we'll have one spare or as a stocking stuffer for someone

Well, my second shipment has started to come in... aviation 12pin connectors are here, so that will make for much neater and accessible electronic assembly.. 10mm lead screws with nuts have arrived so I will start working my version of AFC live again.. thinking of using a separate controller for it but haven't decided yet.. it just depends on how processor intensive the code to control position is.

Also got some 4 and 8 channel logic level convertors to interface the Pi more easily. A lot of this stuff I may never actually use, or only use to find out it's not really what I need and change plans down the road..
