Might need some more work on the traces by the looks of it to my untrained eye :P

I'll say that looks better :)

Think I've settled on this.

uMAX10 to DIP10 adapter. So at least people can debug the chip with an easier way to verify pin connections.
IC1 is still on top, so it dissipates heat, not that there is any.

032 for +5V everywhere, so its good up to 1A.
C4/C5 0.1uF / 1uF +5V filtering, not that the Arduino +5V needs it.

Is there a ground plane that's not really visible here?, it looks as though C6, C7, the 16mhz crystal caps are only connected on one terminal, ditto for C1, C2, C4, C5, and the center terminal of IC1.... and that JP2 #1 and #2 aren't really doing anything (future use?)..  I will have to go out on a limb and say there's a ground plane I'm not seeing somewhere?

Dashed lines around the PCB, red and blue = purple, are the top and bottom ground planes

OK, I figured there was a ground plane that wasn't visible :)... it would suck badly if you made a board and forgot to connect half the components :P   Carry on then :)

I was wondering how you're interfacing the VR sensor and what sort of input conditioning you have on it

Specialty VR sensor IC, 10k resistors into 100nF cap. I believe it is A2 mode on the 9924

It's a robust chip, I think it goes to 1MHz.. heh, but the noise immunity is pretty much why I picked it.
