Bad actuator?

Thinking i might have a bad actuator.  Main screen on android app is just dashes, however emulate function responds to brake/cruise switches.  Actuator does power on.  The pins seem to be placed and secured in harnesses properly.  Trying to find a known working actuator locally to check against. Any thoughts?
thanks

The LBB code is setup to wait for 2 things. First is the actuator needs to communicate back. Otherwise it'll never drop into the main loop. At the main loop, everything waits for the VR sensor / turbo to be spinning atleast 1000rpm.

If your actuator responds to your brake/cruise switches after enabling emulate.. You might have a VR problem. If it doesn't respond the actuator doesn't respond at all, even with emulate, there-in lies your issue.

What kind of actuator is it ? 351ve ? 300vg ?

Thanks for the info.  It's a he351ve. I'll take a look at the vr sensor

When you emulate, can you hear the actuator moving when you hit your brake / cruise switches, or with the motor running can you get that hairdryer whine with the brake on, and it goes away with brake off ?

If so ya it's just the VR integration not counting well.

I'll have to listen for the actuator itself while switches are operated. So far I haven't noticed any changes while the motors running. Brake switch does nothing.  Pretty sure the veins are always wide open right now

Okay so there's a canbus issue then. Double check your can high / low, make sure they aren't backwards.

Tried the can high/low flipped.  no change.  took another look at the vr sensor harness, everything looks good there.  Actuator harness seems ok too, pins all look seated etc.   Are you thinking a bad actuator at this point or anything else I should look at?

Searched Vr on here and saw this: Adding notch to turbo shaft for VR sensor pickup
I also have a Turbo Lab 67mm shaft. Sounds like this could be the culprit.  Has anyone had one from them that did have a notch for pickup?

No notch is certainly a problem

I can only say mine didn't, and it didn't sound like any of them did when I talked to them about it...

I doubt mine has the notch lol.  Kinda frustrating they don't machine them though. I ordered another wheel and shaft through them and will notch that one and throw in at my father in laws shop over Christmas. Hoping that will get me squared away although I'm not sure if a new actuator is in my future. Thank you all for the help. Would have had to give up on this project without you lol

they're a little bit of fiddling to get going, but they're fun once set up!

Still messing with this lol. I did dremel a notch in shaft but still it still wasnt behaving.  Ordered in a reman actuator.  With the reman actuator it now has shaft rpm and seems like it runs the main loop.  Shows going to different modes when activated, but still nothing physically changing with turbo. Old actuator would spin motor upon powering on, nothing from this one.

Forgot to mention, the main screen will stay all blanks until flipping emulate on then off.  I have tried can high/low flipped with this new actuator also
