Well, my buddy's truck had a pesky oil leak, figured it was the front main seal that he recently redid.. so he pulls the fan hub off.. Lo and behold.. there's a crack in the casing.. KDP must be floating around in the crankcase I guess. My dad's truck has an oil leak as well, but don't know if the KDP was an issue on the VE pump models.. perhaps it's suffering the same thing? We did the front main seal in that truck too.
Buddy is lucky the pin didn't jam a gear and bust something big time.. I'll have to take a look at my dad's truck I guess.
